CHAK DE! INDIA
‘Chak De India’ is the story of a coach's fight to make his team, Team India, the best in the world. It is a film about self-belief, perseverance, determination and the human spirit to fight and win.
The movie is directed by Shimit Amin and it stars Shahrukh Khan in the lead role as Kabir Khan, the coach of Indian girls’ hockey team.
Once the hero of Indian Hockey, the best ‘center forward’ in the world, the man a nation found a hero in. And then later sentenced to hell. Now he has decided to make a last comeback to the game he once loved, to reclaim his lost honour and prove his point to the nation he still loves.
Kabir Khan aims to achieve the impossible by making a rag-tag bunch of loser girls into a team. And he is eyeing nothing less than World Championship. The only problem is – it is easier said than done.

I don't know why but my father threw me in the river.
Fishermen in Jaunpur rescued a seven-year-old girl named Sarita from a river after her father threw her into it because he couldn’t afford treatment for her ailment. Sarita suffers from complete renal failure. Doctors at a Mumbai hospital, where she was being treated, had told her father that medical expenses would go well over Rs. Three lakh. Her father, a vegetable vendor, with a family of five more children to support, was despondent and took the extreme step. But Sarita is surprised and cannot understand why her father, who had taken good care of her in Mumbai all these months, had suddenly changed.
The Jaunpur police have registered a case against Sarita's father and have called him for questioning but they are more concerned about admitting Sarita in a hospital so that she can be treated.
For all of us it's a grim reminder of what desperate poverty can do to human beings. But caught between illness and poverty, it's a matter of life and death for Sarita.
I would like to congratulate NDTV 24X7 for the initiative taken by them in helping Sarita. If anyone of you would like to help her then you visit the NDTV website or mail to the address provided.

THE CAREER CHOICE
In today’s world, people who are just about to walk the career path are in for luck because they have many ways and options waiting for them.
With the change in economy there are always doors open for an employee to change over for a better opportunity and thus leaving the organization always on the lookout for newer employees.
Influences on our Career Decisions
In the age of information, when we have all the information we need in our fingertips, then why are our career decisions been swayed by our friends, relatives or advertisements etc. Thus, we are always influenced into taking a career decision suggested by the above sources, without proper verification and also not giving due consideration to other alternatives that may be available.
YOU Decide
The only person who should decide on a career for you is “YOU”. While deciding the most suitable career for us we must take into account our likes and dislikes, our hobbies, our values etc. Taking into account all this aptitudes we can create groups containing certain types of careers. For example :
1.Practical Work : This line of career is for those who have self confidence and manual skill. Example- Doctors, Engineers etc.
2.Physical Labour : This line of career is for those who love the outdoors and posses physical stamina. Example- Sportsmen, Policemen etc
3.Creative Jobs : It requires us to have an imaginative and artistic mindset, verbal ability etc. Example- Fine Arts, Music etc.
4.Blue Collar Jobs : This line of careers are for those who are good at managing people, planning, promoting etc. Example- Business Management, Banking etc.
5.Social Jobs : This jobs are for those who love to get along with new people and make friends with them. Example- Customer Care, Teachers etc.
Thus, we can group the different careers according to our different aptitudes, but we should keep in mind that some careers may overlap more than one group. The above grouping should help us to some extent in choosing the right career path for ourselves and not going by someone else’s aspirations and expectations. Without taking into account our aptitudes, chances are that we will be mediocre and a very insecure professional in this competitive world.

Tensions of Results
Today while sitting on my computer with nothing to do on hand and the continuous downpour outside, the faces of the students of class 10 and 12 started to come to my mind. This last few days were preety tensed for the students of this classes because their results were announced. Those who did well were all joyous and happy but for all those who were unable to do well it's a long walk back home. These scenes took me back to the time of our results when we had the same kind of tensions but were joyous when we got to know our results and were celebrating all the way back home.
Now back to the present the rain has stopped and i am preparing to go to my adda and meet my friends.

The Killing Fields of Assam
Every time i read the newspaper or watch the news i am greeted by the news of shootouts or bomb blasts happening in and around Assam. Sometimes it's the soldiers been killed by the militant group ULFA and sometimes it's the opposite but in the ensuing battle between the two parties its the common people that are forming the major portion of the casualties. Blood bath continues with the growing incidents of killings, bitter turf war between the security forces and rebel. The state has witnessed more than 20 incidents of blasts and over 40 persons have died either because of state terrorism or by the insurgents over the last two months and the prospect of returning of normalcy in the state suffered a huge setback. The state government is seemingly oblivious of the prevalent explosive situation of the state.
