Tensions of Results

Today while sitting on my computer with nothing to do on hand and the continuous downpour outside, the faces of the students of class 10 and 12 started to come to my mind.This last few days were preety tensed for the students of this classes because their results were announced.Those who did well were all joyous and happy but for all those who were unable to do well it's a long walk back home.These scenes took me back to the time of our results when we had the same kind of tensions but were joyous when we got to know our results and were celebrating all the way back home.

Now back to the present the rain has stopped and i am preparing to go to my adda and meet my friends.

The Killing Fields of Assam

Every time i read the newspaper or watch the news i am greeted by the news of shootouts or bomb blasts happening in and around Assam. Sometimes it's the soldiers been killed by the militant group ULFA and sometimes it's the opposite but in the ensuing battle between the two parties its the common people that are forming the major portion of the casualties. Blood bath continues with the growing incidents of killings, bitter turf war between the security forces and rebel. The state has witnessed more than 20 incidents of blasts and over 40 persons have died either because of state terrorism or by the insurgents over the last two months and the prospect of returning of normalcy in the state suffered a huge setback. The state government is seemingly oblivious of the prevalent explosive situation of the state.
